Bedtime Prayers

Tonight, as we were tucking the boys into bed, we always talk about all of the upcoming events. Whether or not tomorrow is trash day, how many more days until trash day, is it going to be a Jaime day or a Mommy & Daddy day. You know, all of the important things. Tonight, we talked about it was one more day until trash day, and two more days, and Gigi and Pops are going to come for a quick visit before their vacation.

Here is the conversation that ensued:

Isaac: Awr Gigi and Pops going on a 'cation in a big van?
Me: Nope, they're going in an airplane
Eli: Maybe they'll wave to us and we'd see 'em
Isaac: If they wave at us out the window, it might swing their fingers off. Dat wouldn't be good. (Head shakes for emphasis)
Eli: And if they stick their heads out of the window of the plane to see us, it might blow their hairs off.
Isaac: Dat isn't a good idea (head still shaking)
Isaac: Mommy, we still need a say our pwayers
Me: What should we pray for?
Isaac: Ralphie. And Roxy. But Ralphie firwst.
Eli: For all a da people (meaning our entire family - extended too). And Gigi and Pops on their 'acation.
