An Update on Isaac & Eli

First, thank you everyone for all of your prayers and kind thoughts, emails, and words. We can't tell you how much we appreciate them.

Elias and I (Kristi) are still inpatients at the hospital where I had the boys. Eli needed some oxygen via c-pap yesterday, but is now on a high flow nasal cannula. Even with him being so small, he has been incredibly strong and mighty. Ryan and I have each gotten to hold Eli, and those were some special moments for us.

Isaac has continued to improve at CMH. His CO2 levels have improved to a level where they are going to trial him off of the ventilator tomorrow, to see how well he can breathe without it. There are still many unknowns with Isaac, but we plan on having a meeting with several specialists early in the week to get a better grasp on his situation.

We'll continue to update with information as we can here.

Thanks again for all of your support -

  1. How good it is to hear some improvement with the boys. The photos are precious. So nice you were able to hold little Eli. Ryan's smile tells it all. We continue to pray for everyone and hope you will be able to hold little Isaac before too long. Thinking of you.
